2021 Morcon Year in Review
2021 was a year full of challenges for our industry. Nonetheless with everyone’s hard work we were able to have a great year! Let us review some of our accomplishments!
Our motto for this past year was, “Think Progress, Not Perfection.” Read below to see what was new in the world and new at Morcon!
COVID-19 Vaccines are up and running
According to the CDC, as of February 1, 2021, more than 26 million people had received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Of those, almost 6 million had received both doses and are fully vaccinated. This is great progress!
The return to the office was also made much safer with the arrival of vaccines. We were all glad to be back in person, collaborating and communicating.
New Banking Partner
We successfully finalized a new bank deal that will allow for future investments in equipment and expansion.
Our team worked very hard to sell every case of napkins, towel and tissue that we are produce…it was a battle every day. But we successfully onboarded 25+ customers in 2020, during a pandemic.
Investments in Marketing
We have also updated our packaging on napkin products as seen below.
With the Away-from-Home industry opening back up, we geared up to take on the high demand. However, with the supply chain hitting a snag, we had to think of creative ways to service our customers. In order to optimize our production, we made some machine moves to better utilize space, improve flow and prepare for the demand.
Product Spotlight: 8″ TAD
We were also able to launch a new TAD product. This new 8-inch universal towel is ideal for cleaning spills, wiping down surface and hand drying. We are excited for some new products we will be launching in 2022! Be sure to keep an eye out.
Tissue Paper Donation
Staying true to our core values, when there is an opportunity for us to help within one of our communities, we jump at the chance. In February, many were hit hard during the devastating snowstorm in Texas. Partnering with one of our distributors, Morcon donated 400 cases of bath tissue to Mesa Tech Corporation. With their help, cases were distributed to families in need across the state.
Product Spotlight: Valay® Interfold Napkins
We introduced new products to our Valay® Interfold Napkin line! With the world opening up, we wanted to be able to meet and exceed demand from our customers with great quality products.
Hiring was another challenge all businesses endured this year. We introduced new hiring concepts to attract new hardworking employees as well as refer-a-friends programs to encourage current employees to get the word out.

Company Culture and Milestones
With that being said, we also focused on our current employees, who have been with us through the tough times and the good times. All of these dedicated and hardworking team members are the reason why Morcon has been successful
We also held different employee engagement events throughout the year including but not limited to a chili cook-off, football tailgate party, doughnuts for dads, muffins for moms, a 4th of July BBQ, refilling of our team’s wiper fluid by managers and more! One of our favorite initiatives what Morcon’s 12 Days of Christmas. Every day leading up to the holiday in December was comprised of a game, activity, snack, or prize for employees across all of our sites. We gave away Morcon ornaments, had a hot chocolate bar, played Christmas movie trivia, and indulged in a delicious Christmas meal!
One Morcon team member specifically, our Maintenance Leader, Cary Allen, celebrated his 25th year at Morcon. Cary has been an integral part of the team and we are so proud of him for this amazing milestone! He is just one of the many reasons why we are able to find success in our industry. Congratulations, Cary!
It was another record year for Morcon, despite all of the hardships and we are excited for what’s to come in 2022 and beyond.
