Morcon Tissue is excited to announce a new 3PL partnership in Indianapolis, Indiana. This investment will allow Morcon to service the Midwest market and customers at a very high level. Our new 3PL is Direct Xpress Logistics. This partner operates an integrated transportation and distribution center in Indianapolis, IN.

The warehouse opportunity offers over 500K square feet of additional storage space. Their transportation division offers 395 company owned tractors and nearly 500 trailers. Shipments from Indianapolis will begin in early May.

As we strive to be a best-in-class supplier for our customers, Morcon will continue to invest in warehousing throughout the U.S.

Stuart Alheim, Morcon’s Director, Logistics and Warehouse Services, states, “In today’s competitive marketplace, fast reliable service is a must.  As an extension of Morcon, the team at Direct Xpress Logistics will significantly enhance and increase our value proposition of being flexible, adaptable and nimble for our partners.

Not only is this new location strategically placed, it will allow us a quicker delivery time with a lower transportation cost to our customers. Indianapolis will allow us to reach almost all our customers in the Mid-West within 1 day of shipment and many of our other customers within 2 days. This location will also allow smaller mid-west companies the ability to pick up their own product for less than truckload orders.
